How Are They Funded (Ashanti School For The Deaf)
The organization’s principal source of funding is the Ghana National Trust Fund plus technical assistance from the Department of Social Welfare. However, this is inadequate to meet all the needs at the Centre and they therefore, depend on charitable donations and benevolent organizations. They also received donations of food items from the Catholic Relief Service and the Canadian Food for Children Program.
Donation Requests
They are looking for computers to be donated, as they would like to expand their computer course. Also, any teaching supplies or games for children would be useful.
Who They Work With
They mainly serve the Ashanti Region, but do have some students from other regions in Ghana. The school has approximately 500 students who all live at the school.
