ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AT Presbyterian Women Training College

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the New Four-Year BACHELOR OF EDUCATION EDUCATION (BEd) DEGREE PROGRAMME in 46 Public Colleges of Education in Ghana for the 2025 Academic Year.

Admission Requirements:

  1. 1. WASSCE /SSCE Qualification Applicants

The general requirement for admission to BACHELOR OF EDUCATION EDUCATION (BEd) DEGREE PROGRAMME is as follows:

  1. I. WASSCE Holders: CREDIT (A1-C6) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study.
  1. II. SSSCE Holders: CREDIT (A-D) in Six (6) subjects comprising Three (3) Core subjects, including English Language and Core Mathematics, and Three (3) Elective subjects relevant to the course of study.
  1. III. TVET Qualification Holders: CREDIT in Three (3) Core Subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and PASSES in Three (3) Elective Subjects relevant to the course of study.
  1. IV. Candidates awaiting the MAY/JUNE, 2025 WASSCE and NABPTEX RESULTS can also Apply.

ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE: 

A. Applicants will first make a payment of One Hundred And Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢150.00) into the Colleges of Education – Ghana Account at any branch of the following banks nationwide:

i) UniBank Ghana Ltd ii) Additionally, payment can also be made through mobile money wallet

2. Airtel Money
3.Vodafone Cash 
4.MTN Mobile Money by dialing the short code *924*8# from all networks. 

B. Upon payment, Applicants will be given the following information:

  1. i) A Personal Identification Number (PIN)
  2. ii) Admission Application Serial Number
  3. iii) The Admission Website Address — admission.coeportal.edu.gh

With this PIN, applicant will then visit THE ADMISSION WEBSITEadmission.coeportal.edu.gh and follow specific guidelines to fill the application form ONLINE.

NOTE:

i) Applicants are advised to read and to ensure they fully understand all related instructions before completing the application forms.

ii) Applicants are to note that application forms that are not properly completed will not be processed.

iii) After completing the application form online, an applicant will need to print a copy which should be sent with one passport photograph and a copy/copies of results slips (Where available) by EMS PRIORITY ENVELOPE obtainable from Ghana Post nationwide and addressed to the Principal of the COLLEGE CHOSEN.

iv) Applicants will be notified to the receipt of their applications by SMS (text message) and should therefore provide correct and reliable mobile phone numbers when completing the form online.

v) Applicants will also recive admission offer notification by SMS (text message) and those who do not receive any of such notifications may have to understand it to mean that their applications have not been successful.

vi) Applicants are to note that the colleges will cross-check their results from the West African Examination Council as part of the admission process. Applicants found to have submitted fake or falsified documents in support of their applications will be made to Face the legal consequences of their actions.

vii) For further enquiries, applicants are to contact the nearest colleges of Educations or The Colleges of Education Secretariat at GNAT headquarters, Accra.
